Fixed term, full time position, 80 hours per fortnight plus a monthly ADO
Ballarat Health Services Finance Department currently has an opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join the team. The position will be responsible for ensuring legislative requirements are delivered, as well as the management of internal finance functions. You will assist in ensuring that all reporting requirements and day-to-day operational tasks are met.
To succeed in this role, you will interact with customers and staff within the BHS values and have the ability to meet all aspects of the role in a timely and professional manner. Your ability to supervise, lead, direct and motivate staff to achieve desired outcomes is essential for this role. Demonstrating an ability to work independently and within a team structure, you will display sound written and verbal communication skills and prioritise your workload effectively. Previous experience in a community or health environment is desirable.

Selection Criteria

• Essential : Formal Qualifications including Undergraduate Accounting Degree and professional membership of CAANZ, CPA or ACCA (please attached relevant documents to your profile in eRecruit).
• Essential : Significant skills and experience using a Financial Management Information System, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
