Balfour Beatty- Vinci Looking for Site Engineer at Kenilworth, Warwickshire Full Time

Balfour Beatty Vinci is recruiting for a Site Engineer working on HS2 at their site near Kenilworth

Working as part of our Civils team and dependent on your experience and aspirations you will be working on major earthworks, drainage or heavy structures including bridges and viaducts.

What you’ll be doing:

• Contributing to the production of relevant permits for works to begin
• Identifying hazards and contributing to the development of Safe System of Works
• Reading and determine information from drawings, schedules and specification
• Completing Quality Check Sheets and production of information for Handover Documentation
• Maintaining accurate records such as daily diary, photographs, records of site discussions
• Producing quantity surveys
• Producing accurate daily diary of resources, including labour, plant, materials, subcontractors and outputs
• Producing weekly measures, take offs and schedule materials accurately
• Regularly liaising with the client and subcontractors
• Liaising with other Sections to ensure any clashes on site are managed to ensure a smooth flow of work

Who we’re looking for:

• Previous work experience as a Site Engineer
• A formal qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Previous experience working on projects in earthworks, heavy structures or drainage is desirable but not essential

We are building the West Midlands section of HS2’s Phase One route, spanning approximately 90km from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
