Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Talent & Development Coordinator to join our Talent & OD Team within HR Operations.
HR Operations is made up of the HR and Payroll shared services section of the HR Enabling Function providing critical, continual administrative support to employees throughout their entire life-cycle; from posting job adverts like this one to attract potential candidates through to the day they leave the company and every aspect in between. HR Operations is made up of core administration teams and specialist teams who look after our 16,000 UK based employees across a range of roles in construction, utilities and Rail.
Talent & Development is one of the specialist teams and has a significant scope of service; from coordinating Commercial and Leadership courses for Senior Leaders within our business to booking Brathay Challenge and Duke of Edinburgh activities for our Emerging Talent population. The team have responsibility for showing the business how to maximise the use of the Apprenticeship Levy; getting the best return on investment from CITB Grant Claim; applying for Share Awards for Chartered members of institutes to better promote and encourage personal development amongst our employees.

Who we’re looking for
Our successful candidate will be self-motivated; proactive and able to use their initiative but, at the same time, be responsive to changing needs of our customers and adapt very quickly. They should have experience of working within training administration.
The new team member who joins us will be used to high volume workloads and will be able to prioritise work requests; assess and manage resource capacity in order to meet our KPIs of timeliness and quality.
A good attention to detail is absolutely critical in this role and our successful candidate will take full responsibility for the quality of their own work as well as supporting colleagues in maintaining our high standards. Strong stakeholder engagement is critical in this role and confidence to liaise with – and, on occasion, challenge – Senior Leaders, HRBPs and internal delegates is a must.
