A senior member of the BBV leadership team, with a significant role to play in building the financial control function throughout the project. Member of Senior Finance Leadership team, working with Deputy Finance Director, Sub Lot Director, Head of Financial Reporting and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to define the financial control environment, processes and tools.
Monitor and control project financial transactions and records (within stand alone ledgers), including periodic reconciliations
Maintain project, including overhead, financial records
Undertaking reviews of all ledgers on a monthly cycle
Preparing accounts to reflect performance in line with project and Company accounting policies
Input of data to management systems
Preparation of monthly management accounts, OpStat and cost summaries, and cash forecasts
Preparation of annual and half year fiscal accounts and supporting information
Analysis and reporting of key business financial information (KPI’s)
Analysis of performance and data, including key business drivers
Close liaison with commercial function
Identification, communication and prompt resolution of issues, as appropriate
Responsibility for maintaining records and reporting of regulatory compliance matters, CIS, VAT etc
What you’ll be doing
Prudent and accurate accounting records · Complete, understandable, timely and accurate accounts and reports · Timely management of the transaction processing e.g. GRN’s, plant, etc, with no major supplier issues arising · Financial summary of the works contract that facilitates ease of financial management and reporting of the contract · Delivery of financial results · Contract close-out reports · Reliability of forecasts · Timely and accurate preparation and submission of fiscal accounts · Complete, accurate and timely budget, in line with business requirements · Communication and relationship building with all levels across the business · Timely resolution of issues · Financially qualified by education or experience to CIMA, ACCA level · Management accounts experience, to advanced level in contract accounting · Proven track record of problem identification and timely resolution · Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of products · Advanced level ability in use of contract ledger based accounting system, Oracle equivalent · Intermediate level in application of VAT rules · Intermediate level in application of CIS rules · Commercial technical knowledge · Construction Industry knowledge · Commercial & Financial Awareness · Communication · Decision Making & Risk Management · Influence & Negotiation · Developing self & others · Leadership · Planning & Organising · Analysis & Problem Solving · Results focus · Team working
· Support and guidance to Project Director, Commercial Manager and other project related staff · Preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budget information and reports · Liaison and collaboration with auditors, in particular, prompt resolution of any audit points arising. · Setting down and maintaining appropriate financial procedures and processes · Liaison with client to develop good relationships to enhance prospects of winning future opportunities. · Ad hoc reporting and analysis · Timely and accurate reporting and submission of periodic regulatory returns · Timely resolution of actions identified in audit reports · Dotted line responsibility to Redhill Finance to ensure key factors affecting project progress and outcomes are communicated to Redhill in a timely fashion · Preparation and contribution to regular project progress reviews
