We are a small, but growing third-party certified & FDA registered food (aka human) grade pet food & human dietary supplement manufacturer and online software developer. Our focus is on the veterinary market with various patented products designed for dogs and cats used globally. We have a custom-built facility located in Woodland, CA (next to Davis & Sacramento) that offers employees a work environment with very high cleanliness standards, and plenty of natural lighting. We also have a small team of remote workers across the US & Canada. Job Description

We are currently seeking to hire a FULL-TIME (36 hours per week) Customer Care Team Member. We would like this person to be able to start as soon as possible (given the hiring process and notice you would need to provide your current employer).

As a member of our Customer Care Team, you would be responsible for providing telephone, email, and web chat support for our domestic and international customer base.

Qualifications

• Previous phone-based, email-based and computer customer care experience is mandatory. We are NOT a call center and do not operate as such, but we do provide a high volume of customer support via phone, email, and online chat.
• Veterinary practice or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
• Licensed veterinary technicians/nurses, including recent graduates, who enjoy client communications are VERY strongly encouraged to apply.
• Recent college graduates with an aptitude and desire to learn will be looked on highly favorably.
• Desire to help people and their animal companions with compassion and empathy is essential
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google applications (Google Workspace).
• Ability to embrace,master, and troubleshoot new technologies and help others to do the same.
• Awareness and willingness to ask for and accept help/support/training when needed.
• High attention to detail with the ability to think independently and prioritize/organize tasks.
• Ability to handle customer calls with professionalism, courtesy, empathy, and patience.
• Ability to maintain a calm and courteous demeanor at all times even when stressed.
• Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally in fluent English.
• Excellent writing skills to create & edit communications to veterinarians and their support staff.
• Must be dependable, reliable, and on-time.
• Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently depending on the job task.
• Must be willing to adjust to frequent changes in work priorities to meet the needs of a growing company.

• Must have reliable and safe high speed internet connection.
• Must have a cell phone and unlimited calling plan/or ability to plug in a VOIP phone (we will provide an app to make work related calls).
• Must have a private and distraction free remote work location that enables professional communications with co-workers and customers.

Wages

• Starting Wage: $22.50 Per Hour

Hours

• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday (with a half hour lunch, and two 10-minute breaks), Fridays 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (with one 10-minute break).
• All work hours will be PST during training. If you are in a different timezone, the schedule will adjust accordingly once training is complete.

*Currently, full Covid-19 vaccination is required to be employed. All current employees are fully vaccinated and have provided proof of their vaccination(s) to the company. New employees will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their first day of work. Employees are required to stay up-to-date with their COVID-19 vaccines, including booster shots when available. This policy will remain in effect as long as it is supported by California labor law.
