The opportunity

In this role you will support the HR function, act as a generalist for enquiries, coordinate recruitment, employee onboarding and key projects as required from time to time.

Key dutys

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Coordinating recruitment and selection activities, placing adverts and shortlisting candidates, carrying out reference checks and making job offers.
• Analysis of job requirements and drafting of position descriptions in consultation with relevant supervisors.
• On boarding and off boarding of all employees and students, including drafting employee contracts and overseeing probation periods.
• Coordination of HR inductions for new staff and students.
• Oversee and respond to general HR enquiries.
• Manage our learning and performance related platforms.
• Administration related to volunteers, students, collaborators, visiting scientists, honorary appointees and other unpaid people.

Education and skills

You will have:

• 1–2 years’ experience in Human Resources Administration, including knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures.
• Experience in recruitment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
• Friendly and professional approach with exemplary stakeholder skills and the ability to build trust and rapport.
• Self-motivated and the ability to prioritise tasks, problem solve.
• A great team player.
• Experience dealing with confidential documents and maintaining employee records.
• A strong desire to learn.
