Baillie Lodges is an Australia-based collection of award-winning luxury lodges, each a leader in personal and sustainable travel. Our unique destinations include Capella Lodge on Lord Howe Island, Longitude 131° at Australia’s spiritual heart, Uluru-Kata Tjuta, Silky Oaks Lodge in the Daintree Rainforest, The Louise in the Barossa Valley, New Zealand’s iconic Huka Lodge and Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge on Vancouver Island, Canada. Rising from the ashes in 2023 will be our flagship, Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island.

As Baillie Lodges continues to grow, we are now seeking a Human Resources Officer to join our dynamic team over approximately 25 hours a week. This is a work-from-home role, with our head office based in Avalon in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, you will have the ability to work remotely with occasional travel to our head office as required.

This Role:

This newly created position will be responsible for all administration and coordination in relation to our workforce across all 7 lodges, over 3 countries. You will also help drive culture, training and HR initiatives across the group.

This multi-faceted role will have you working directly with Lodge General Managers, Head office and other stakeholders and presents growth and career opportunity as the group continues to expand on a global scale.

Overview of responsibilities:

• Work with management teams to create and implement effective onboarding plans
• Work with the talent acquisitions team in recruiting and then onboarding all new talent into the Group, ensuring all compliance, induction and paperwork for new talent is accurate and completed
• Assist with immigration matters or visa sponsorship cases for our incoming international talent
• Develop and deliver employee engagement surveys
• Identify and coordinate training providers to meet the development needs for team members
• Work with the marketing team to design and deliver regular team communication pieces Wo
• Provide advice on internal policies and procedures as required
• Stay up to date on government regulations and award changes and communicate these as relevant to internal stakeholders

• Previous experience in a Human Resources or Culture role, or an administrative position with exposure to immigration, compliance, reporting and injury management
