Education Services Practitioner

Would you like to be a part of this exciting opportunity running early careers events and engaging with schools and early career centres to promote BAE’s education services programme? We currently have a vacancy for an Education Services Practitioner at our site in Samlesbury.

As an Education Services Practitioner, you will be working with local schools whilst focussing on STEM subjects. You will also be engaging with Air shows, running classroom sessions, and liaising with the AIR Business to ensure the events can be run effectively and successfully.

This role will provide a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for early careers and STEM to support the BAE Air business with creating and organising learning events to support and promote the AIR sector early careers schemes with opportunity to travel to special events including The Royal Air Tattoo weekend.

Your main responsibilities as an Education Services Practitioner will involve:

• Co-ordinate the delivery of local Education activities and ensure alignment to the UK strategy to ensure service delivery is optimised in line with intended outcomes
• Co-ordinate and support the deployment of virtual Education Services activities and ensure effective utilisation of the Air Ambassador Network.
• Provide support/co-ordination to Business Unit sponsored events as part of the Education Services calendar
• Maintain and report on local service data and analytics to inform improvements and monitor impact
• On-going engagement with established local schools and key stakeholder relationships to enable effective delivery against our strategy
• Raise Purchase Orders to procure goods and services. Including CPA and Budget Management

Your skills and qualifications:

You will need to have strong project manager experience as well as handling budgets. A strong passion for STEM (Science, Technology engineering and maths) as well as early education. Confident in the use of MS packages including excel and power point.

What we are looking for in you:

You must be confident in event planning and being the forefront of the Education services team. Very organised and a strong communicator whilst also being energetic and enthusiastic.

Location: Samlesbury – Hybrid working

Salary: £34,000 + Dependant on experience
