Back to Basics Learning Dynamics Hiring for Elementary School Tutor for 2022 School Year at Remote Full Time

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics (B2B) is a premier education services provider of over 125 services, including 1-on-1 tutoring, translating and interpreting, speech and occupational therapists, reading specialists, psycho-educational testing, and 1-on-1 test prep for the SAT & ACT and more. In addition, we operate Delaware’s only 1-on-1 Private School (7th-12th grade), Augustine Hills School, located in Wilmington, Delaware.

What we are looking for:
A passionate teacher or tutor with relevant experience and the will to make a difference.

Scope of work

Tutor students online, after school hours

1:1 tutoring with the same child each week for 2 hours (1 hour twice a week). You would be able to take on as many students as feasible.

You set your own schedule for after-school and weekend hours. Consistency is key, so we ask that the schedule stay the same each week if possible.

Work with students in primarily grades K – 5 for Math & Reading.

This is a contracted position, so you will have full control over how you cover the material.

This is a remote position.

What do we require?

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Teaching Certificate or 2+ years of teaching in a classroom or Tutoring 1:1 (student teaching and practicum excluded from timing noted)

Minimum of 6 hours a week, up to 30 hours available

Access to a camera and microphone for sessions

Access to WIFI

Strong communication skills

Ability to work with students to help them understand the subject material.

Dependability

Math and reading expertise preferred
