As part of a world leading geotechnical contracting group, Bachy Soletanche Ltd specialises in all aspects of modern Geotechnics and Foundation Engineering, including bored and displacement piling, diaphragm walls, grouting, mini piling, anchors, ground improvements and environmental engineering.

We are seeking an IT Assistant to assist our IT manager in supporting staff based on the HS2 joint venture project.

Key Tasks:

• Support Call management: logging, escalation and resolution
• IT infrastructure and services: Add, manage and troubleshoot all network connectivity, network services (printing and scanning), telephone, video and telephony conferencing.
• Rollout IT: Enabling new hardware (PC, screens, projectors etc.)
• New user boarding: add/configure/verify printer on PC, create new user on Office 365, connect new user to office 365 platform, enable Office 365 products and demonstrate how to use the new environment, add mailbox to Outlook client, install/configure OneDrive Sync, install/configure Office and other software.
• End user Support: Assist project users in meeting room setup, user IT training and JV office facilities use.
• Escalation: 2nd tier IT issues to be escalated to IT Manager and/or JV clients on behalf of users
• Asset Inventory and admin: Inventory and allocation of equipment
• Procedures, Forms & Training: Creating user procedures, training project users on IT services and production of digital JV record sheets
• Research and Development: Find new ways of improving IT services to aid the project.

Knowledge and experience required:

• Experience in administration
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office products
• Good working knowledge of PCs, networks and internet cloud services.
• Time and task management skills

Physical Working Environment:

• Ability to work in office, construction site cabins and remotely
• Ability to travel to active construction sites.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

• 8 hour shift
