Babylon Micro-Farms, Inc Hiring for Supply Chain Analyst Full Time

Babylon Micro-Farms is changing the future of farming with our environmentally friendly, software-enabled hydroponic farms. We serve commercial dining operators nationwide, from universities to senior living communities, providing them with access to 40+ crops, top-notch training/support, and a mobile app to help them grow fresh, nutritious produce on-site. Babylon is a high-growth, early-stage company based in the Scott’s Addition neighborhood of Richmond, VA.

We’re looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to work closely with our Operations Manager in managing our supply chain. We are changing the future of farming with our environmentally friendly, software-enabled hydroponic farms. We serve commercial dining operators nationwide, from universities to senior living communities, providing them with access to 40+ crops, top-notch training/support, and a mobile app to help them grow fresh, nutritious produce on-site. Babylon is a high-growth, early-stage company based in the Scott’s Addition neighborhood of Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, seek cost-effective pricing and execute timely procurement of raw materials to meet Babylon’s manufacturing and service needs.
• Procure material that meets or exceeds quality standards. Help maintain our material review board (MRB) with the Operations Manager.
• Manage the material receipt & distribution process.
• Maintain the ERP system with our Purchase Order/invoice process; material receipt, planning, and shipments; and other supply chain or manufacturing functions.
• Maintain inventory control with physical inventory counts and auditing compliance with inventory management systems.
• Research, evaluate, and help negotiate competitive pricing to secure cost savings.
• Build and maintain good relationships with all Babylon suppliers, partners, and employees.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in our supply chain systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Administrative experience: 1 year
• Outstanding computer skills, including proficiency experience in Google Office Suite or Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize
• Strong written and verbal communication ability
• Passion for systems thinking, continuous improvement, and Babylon’s mission!

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with integrated management (ERP) systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus!)
• Accounting experience

Salary: Up to $60,000 based on experience
