Babcock International Hiring for Finance Business Partner Job at Bristol, England Full Time

We’re looking for a commercially minded, dynamic, innovative, team-player eager to make a difference in a business facing role, whilst supporting the wider Central Finance function. In your dual role, you will manage your time in supporting elements of the two finance functions. Partnering with the Babcock Korea Team who are responsible for setting up and establishing the Babcock presence in South Korea, you will take responsibility for contracts within your portfolio which will include all aspects of Project Accounting, reporting and forecasting the cost base of the business, as well as supporting the growth agenda for the region. Supporting the Central Finance team, you will be engaging with a variety of stakeholders, taking responsibility for efficiently delivering quality work while seeking to continuously improve processes and reporting.

The difference our new Finance Business Partner will make
Defence Systems Technology (DST) is undergoing a transformation programme to equip itself to grow further and faster in the future and it is an exciting time to join the organisation. As a Finance Business Partner for the Babcock Korea business (BKL) you will become a backbone of support to the business unit as it establishes itself in the region and begins delivering its own work through its own facility. You will be required to learn quickly and take on a variety of contracts, cost centres and ad-hoc tasks and be hands on in order to establish a reporting regime that meets the Group Standard and also adds value to the business. The Head of Business and Lead Finance Business Partner will rely on you to present and articulate financial issues to them and you will need to build solid working relationships with the operational teams in the UK and in Korea (remotely) in order to be successful in this role where relationships are based on respect, trust and collaboration.

You will also be engaging in the wider activities of the Central Finance team, assisting during the both the month-end process and the quarterly forecasting process. Working to tight deadlines, you will produce timely, accurate financial information, for a variety of financial and non-financial stakeholders. This will be achieved by closely working with your team members, being reactive to the ever evolving demands on the Central Finance team in supporting the wider business.

Experience
We’re looking for someone who demonstrates commercial awareness having spent time in a business facing role. Ideally you will have experience or background of operating in an engineering or manufacturing environment and be familiar with the principles of project accounting. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a large organisation which operates on an ERP and has experience of working in an international setting reporting in both functional and reporting currencies.

Education and qualifications
You will be a Qualified Accountant with PQE (either ACCA, ACA or CIMA).
