The Market

Azul’s opportunity for growth is tremendous. In 2020 Bain published a survey showing the market for supported Java runtimes (addressed by Azul) is at least $2.5 billion and that 80% of senior Java decision-makers were looking for a better Java business partner—one that offers better support, value, and security. Azul addresses this market with a comprehensive line of OpenJDK based runtimes including the free open source Azul Builds of OpenJDK, our certified and supported Azul Platform Core, and Azul Platform Prime with turbocharged performance and scalability. This has created a growing installed base of Azul Java runtimes upon which we are now building new offerings like Azul Intelligence Cloud.

The Role

As Lead Development Representative at Azul, you will play an important role within the sales and marketing organization, qualifying and generating leads, prospecting for new clients and developing and executing sales campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

These may include but are not limited to:

• Generate new discovery calls and qualified pipeline for the sales team through outbound prospecting efforts and inbound lead qualification
• Leveraging tools such as LinkedIn to network with prospects
• Achieving and exceeding weekly/monthly metrics (appointments, qualified leads, new contacts, etc.)
• Gain/Deepen business knowledge through researching how different businesses operate, leadership structures, what their pain points are and challenges they face every day
• Understand prospect pain points, gather technical requirements and correlate business value to customer needs
• Pipeline organization and collaboration with Account Executives and Sales Directors for qualified meetings
• This is an individual contributor role that s to LDR Director who values in-the-moment coaching, weekly one-on-ones as well as autonomy to allow you to own your success

Experience

• B2B telephone lead generation (minimally 1 year)
• IT or Software Solutions sales, highly desired
• Financial services, e-commerce, retail, and telecommunications industries, a plus
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and CRM systems (Salesforce.com), SalesLoft and LinkedIn

• Ability to have discussions at all levels within all businesses from Enterprise to mid-market across all sectors

• Excellent communication, listening, presentation, and writing skills
• Exceptional organization and multi-tasking skills, able to adapt to changing priorities and the ability to maintain excellent call records
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and have a very stable work history
• You can think on your feet in a conversation and answer unexpected questions with ease
• You are resilient in the face of objections and rejection
• Willingness and desire to work in a fast-paced and high growth environment
• You are good at finding ways to motivate yourself and your teammates
