We have an opening for a full time position running a major portion of our accounting functions and KPI reporting for our businesses. We are fast-paced and have a fun-loving culture and VERY busy! We are looking for someone to join our team long term that is committed to on time and accurate reporting/KPI and a problem solver. There will be a lot of interaction with our team and so you will need to be good with people and also good with holding people accountable for getting their things to you on time. I need you to be a financial wizard that watches our costs and inefficiencies like a hawk and brings the solutions to the table to fix any issue. We are at $4M in revenue and with 35 employees and are growing quickly. Our companies include a commercial real estate firm, real estate investment and management company, and veterinary hospitals.We use several platforms so you will need to be able to understand new software quickly. This position will report directly to me (owner) The following is a list of the tasks that would be included in the job and the core competencies required.

– Daily KPI reporting for Veterinary Practices – Includes efficiency and margin KPI’s. This will change over time. You need to be able to use Excel and know that your worksheets are correct when changed
– Printing and pulling weekly reports for distribution to the executive team
– Finalizing month-end reports for the executive team
– Preparation of tax documents (Will be reviewed by our fractional controller and CPA)
– Ensuring payroll submitted by managers is done correctly. (Paychex)
– Booking and balancing accrual entries – Payroll, Inventory
– Managing cash flow between companies
– Monitor subscriptions and ensure that old subscriptions are canceled.
– Monitor daily cash deposits from Clinics
– Reconcile payments from CC, Care Credit, and practice software
– Insurance audits
– Quarterly Cost audits for all companies for cost savings
– A/R Billing and Follow up
This position will be partially remote and partially in the office. It requires strict adherence to schedule and a commitment to the ownership of a task AND EXPERIENCE. That means that you will figure out a way to find an answer if you get stuck. We will be here to help but are not looking for an inexperienced person. You must understand accrual accounting and how to make entries. PLEASE do not apply for this job if you are not able to work in Excel.
