AXYZ Automation Group Hiring for Web Developer at Burlington, ON Full Time

With Sales and Support Offices in Canada, the United States, the UK, and Poland, we are a growing company looking for an entrepreneurial, motivated and energetic Web Developer exposed to and well-versed in business and technology concepts.
Having manufactured, sold, installed, and supported more than 11,500 CNC machines, AXYZ Automation Group (AAG) is a leading global manufacturer of CNC routers, waterjets, and knife systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Design, build and deploy high-quality advanced azure web applications using ASP.Net Core

· Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications using Azure app insights

· Support systems that are tied to AXYZ business productivity tools

· Maintains best practices programming.

· Writes documentation, such as user guides and specifications for new and modified software

· Consulting with the engineering team to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and developing specifications and performance requirements.

· Keeps up with new programming techniques and seek creative approaches to enhance the software

· Provides support to internal Technical Support or Production personnel as required

· Other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· A degree in Software or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

· 3-5 years’ experience developing .net web applications.

· Experienced working with React or AngularJS.

· Experienced in deploying/developing cloud-based systems using Azure.

· Familiarity and understanding with relational databases, such as SQL and Entity Framework.

· Familiar with the development of web APIs.

· Experienced in JavaScript.

· Knowledgeable in creating solid customer-facing applications.

· Experienced in Xamarin development.

· Able to think independently and come up with solutions to problems.

· Able to work well and collaborate with others in a fast-paced team environment.

· Able to multitask, manage time and organize work to meet deadlines.

· Strong communication skills in both written and verbal.

· Ability to think abstractly with an “outside the box” approach to testing.

· Able to think on your own and come up with solutions to a technical problem.

Nice to have skills:

· Familiar with UI component libraries would be an asset.

· Knowledge of various web technologies such as PHP, Node, JQuery, Ajax is a plus

· Understand the concept of an IoT platform which involves collecting data from a physical device and store in a cloud environment

· Familiar with the Microsoft Azure platform would be a significant asset
