Axium Foods, Inc Hiring for Maintenance Electrician Full Time

Summary

The Class Maintenance Electrician is responsible for efficiently and effectively repairing and maintaining the machinery used in the manufacturing work area and systems, while working under the direction of the Production Operations Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Maintenance Department safety programs
• Successfully complete all maintenance work orders upon assignment
• Be able to troubleshoot high voltage and DC voltage.
• Plan out and install Electrical panels
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures on all equipment in the facility
• Provide technical feedback to the Operations Team to help operate the equipment efficiently
• Upon assignment, assist in installation of new equipment
• Install conduit and wiring for new or existing equipment while adhering to electrical code
• Provide technical support to the Operations Team and new product development
• Work independently and be self motivated.
• Be able to read and follow blueprints, schematics and manuals for all types of equipment.

Education and/or Experience

• 5 year electrician apprenticeship preferred
• Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred, or 5 years experience in maintenance field.
• Computer proficiency in Word and Excel a plus
• Ability to use welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and Stick Preferred.
• Experience with machinist tools, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, vertical mill, drill press, and horizontal lathe a plus.
• Troubleshoot techniques related to PLC controls, including PLC processor faults, input output failures, and inaccurate analog signals
• Determine root cause of failure in complex electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
• Read and comprehend complex instructions, technical correspondence, and memos
• Write technical correspondence
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and meeting situations with other team members and the Operations Team
