Shop Assistant

About the Role

Axiom Builders Rental Division is seeking a Shop Helper to join their team. As a Shop Helper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean shop environment, assisting with testing pumps and other equipment, and supporting the rental and sales team.

• Keep the shop area clean and organized
• Help with testing and inspecting equipment
• Assist in loading and unloading equipment from rental trucks
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment as directed
• Provide excellent customer service to clients
• Learn and understand the features and capabilities of rental equipment
• Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Assist with other duties as required

The ideal candidate for the Shop Helper role is a recent high school graduate who is eager to learn and grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. They are hard-working, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional customer service. They are excited about the opportunity to develop their skills and potentially move into an apprenticeship within the company after 6-8 months of proven performance.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate equipment
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends if required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
