Axel Americas Hiring for Tank Farm Operator at Rosedale, MS Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for maintaining the tank farm, truck receiving area, pump house and pole barn to ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA and AXEL standards. This position plays a key role in assuring environmental protection by preventing drips, leaks, and spills. Conscientious ing of receiving, shipping, and inventory data assures accurate customer billing and inventory control.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prevent any and all drips, leaks, and spills that would affect the environment
• Maintain and the daily inspection log for the tank farm
• Be aware of and follow all personal protective equipment requirements
• any unsafe acts/conditions
• Maintain proper operation of the storm water drain from the tank farm
• Maintain a clean work area
• Be familiar with and support the effort of implementing the quality policy and ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 (if applicable) Quality Management Systems
• Maintain and accurate information on the weekly bulk inventory
• Follow all documented procedures that relate to loading/unloading bulk trucks/railcars
• Recommend changes to procedures as per preventive action program
• Participate in the internal audit program
• Maintain excellent on-time attendance record
• Unload/load bulk products from/to tank trucks and/or railcars
• Communicate well with truck drivers, shipping, laboratory and greasemaker

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• Math skills: ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
• Communication: Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
• Basic mechanical aptitude

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs including hoses, filled pails and handling filled drums
• Must be able to work at heights, climb stairs, work in confined spaces, have good balance and coordination
• Must be capable of reading small numbers from meters, gauges, etc.
• Must be capable of distinguishing change in pitch on pumps and motors, etc.
• Must be capable of working in extreme temperatures
• Must be willing and able to work any shift and/or holidays & weekends, as needed
• Must be capable of working overtime with little notice, as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
