Axcelis Technologies Inc Hiring for Software Product Manager at Beverly, MA Full Time

The Software Product Manager is responsible for leading and driving all activities leading to high quality, on-time software releases. This influential position s directly to the Director of Software Engineering with dotted line ing to the Product Line Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Software Release Requirements Process
  • Work with constituents to define requirements.
  • Hold concept review meetings to achieve cross-functional buy-in.
  • Review detailed requirements that are developed by SW Engineering.
• Software Roadmap Planning
  • Create and maintain the SW roadmap for the product line.
  • Communicate the SW roadmap to the organization as a whole.
• Software Project Management
  • Work with SW Engineering Managers to allocate resources for each release.
  • Plan and schedule each SW release.
  • Drive and lead release teams on a daily basis.
  • Track and on release progress.
• Interfacing with other functions within Axcelis
  • Product Core Team
  • Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
  • Product Support
  • SQA, Final Test, Quality teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or other technical discipline required. (Masters preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience (preferred 5-10 years of experience).
• Experience in Software development, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; preferably in the area of equipment control.
• Experience in project management, preferably on medium to large SW projects.
• Basic competence with all office products (Word, PPT, Excel).
• Experience with a project management tool such as MS Project.
• Semiconductor Industry experience desired, but not required.
