It’s an exciting time to join AXA UK’s HR function with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform and deliver new digital services to our customers and to automate our business processes. To help us deliver an independent, high quality and effective assurance to Senior Management we now seek to appoint a talented and qualified Project Manager to join the team as HR Systems Project Manager.
This role is responsible for supporting the HR System change plan, to set clear deliverables and expectations for our ‘customers’ with the assigned owners, to drive the delivery focus for new and improved HR Systems, including the monitoring, tracking and reporting of progress against plans. At AXA we’re adopting a Hybrid way of working, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. This role can be performed from almost any of our locations but will require regular attendance at our Bolton office as the majority of stakeholders are located there.
What you’ll be doing:
Project Management of the Requests for Information/Proposals and Business Requirements Documents, discovery, design and implementation phases for assigned HR system projects.
Project Planning: Lead, build and manage HR System projects that will tend to be complex in nature, spanning business areas and may involve engagement with 3rd parties. Ensure they are delivered within agreed time, cost, quality and customer requirements using appropriate tools, techniques and methodologies. These projects may pose medium-high levels of risk to the company
Budget Management – to ensure the project is delivered on cost, and on time within the parameters of the agreed project costs.
Support the delivery the HR Systems strategy; strategic system solutions designed, agreed and implemented according to change timescales as agreed and signed off by key Stakeholders
Embed a strong focus on delivery and employee experience; specifically support the HR Operations team but also the wider HR teams as required, on planning of Business Change Management actions e.g. communications, training to employees, to ensure that the solutions are sustainable
Risk Management: Effectively identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions etc, in order to allow the team & projects to deliver within agreed timeframes by putting measures in place to manage and control. Ensure the team and relevant business areas review and update their risk and control measures to take into account the delivery.
Analysis: Complete analysis activities that are required to support the project teams for agreed priorities, including, leading design and analysis, defining analysis approach, issue resolution, stakeholder management, define As-Is and To-Be business processes / data model, clarify changes, ensuring a common understanding of the business change, Responsible for sign off of expected deliverables
Solutions, Design and Prioritisation: Responsible for working closely with the project teams to actively manage prioritisation lists including; creating, shaping and defining business cases, initial solutions proposed and developed as required, assisting the business with requirement prioritisation and phasing recommendations ensuring the most appropriate and effective delivery, and ensuring a clear boundary around what the proposed business change will and will not be achieving. Develop and recommend solutions and developments; ensuring proposals are in line with agreed design principles, strategic business plans, legislation and best practice
Process Improvement & Management: To support the teams with the tools and methodology to identify, understand, improve and manage key processes and associated KPI’s to deliver a consistent, effective and efficient Employee Experience.
Monitoring and Tracking: Build and management of reporting, monitoring and tracking for the program / projects. Identification of key performance measures for activity and set up of dashboard for proactive management of progress
Be the subject matter expert on the running of projects for the HR team
Minimise the total cost of the HR system architecture by promoting standardisation and system convergence across AXA UK where it is appropriate to do so.
Qualifications
High quality Project Management – experience in delivering HR systems, analysis and reports, delivered within agreed time scales.
Production and ongoing maintenance of relevant dashboards/information packs that drive decision making and appropriate mitigation activity.
Complete, accurate and timely reporting of risks and escalated issues
Quality delivery of change workshops and outputs
High quality, up to date, change, system & project related documentation
Intelligent, confident, outgoing with good communication, influencing and presentation skills
Strong numeracy and report writing skills
Knowledge of systems applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
Confident to be proactive in eliciting information from the stakeholders
Able to apply project management methodology
Resilience and the ability to deal with conflict
Dealing with ambiguity with a creative and innovative approach to solving problems and identifying solutions
Proven track record of building relationships with senior stakeholders and a demonstrable ability to challenge as part of those relationships
