TECHNOLOGIES ONSITE

The Applications Team develops enterprise wide solutions utilising SQL, PL/SQL, APEX, Oracle Forms, SPLASHBI, CSS, jQuery, Shell Scripts, Tableau, QlikSense. Previous experience using any of these technologies would be great.

SALARY: £29,000 per annum + Excellent Benefits (see below)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Graduate Software Developer who has previous software development experience within a University or Commercial setting with the ability to learn new technologies and an aptitude for identifying and solving problems.

Working as the Graduate Software Developer you will join the company’s established IT team in Leyland, Lancashire. This role will suit individuals that are looking for their first commercial experience as a Developer, although candidates with previous commercial application development experience will also be considered.

As the Graduate Software Developer you will join the Applications Team who develop enterprise wide solutions utilising SQL, PLSQL, APEX, Oracle Forms, SPLASHBI, CSS, jQuery, Shell Scripts, Tableau, QlikSense.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WOULD AS A GRADUATE SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Join a skilled and established agile team working closely with stakeholders across logistics, procurement, manufacturing engineering, assembly, quality and aftermarket

Elicit requirements and develop features for a diverse range of applications

Contribute to your team’s technical work autonomously and reliably move projects forward

Follow technology-specific best practices and standards

Participate in testing and other quality assurance activities

Influence the direction of your team through continuous improvement activities

Take part in intensive pairing activities to get you up to speed quickly with our technology stack

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Previous software development experience within a university or commercial setting

Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies

Previous relational database programming experience or a willingness to learn

Aptitude for identifying and solving problems
