Aware Services Hiring for Senior Bookkeeper Job at Sydney Full Time

Aware expanding their back office team to include an accounting qualified Senior Bookkeeper in Sydney. Aware is an Australian IT Consultancy with specialisation in Salesforce and Data and Analytics. We deliver projects for enterprise clients on a time and materials or fixed cost basis, resulting in a need for a Senior Bookkeeper that can accurately reconcile the accounts, including payroll. Reporting to the Head of Finance, in this role, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping of Aware Services, including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable, payroll, tax, GST, and general finance admin.

To be successful you must have:

• Extensive experience in accounting or bookkeeping using Xero for the collection and reconciliation of accounts receivable and payable
• Experience accurately processing monthly payroll for permanent and casual staff
• Experience managing payments from the company bank account
• Exposure or experience to assisting in end of month duties such as end of month journals, reviewing Profit and Loss Statement & Balance Sheet, BAS preparation and lodgements
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint etc)
• The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience
• Excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
• The ability to accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given, and carry out duties in an efficient and timely manner.
• The ability to be flexible and adjust behaviour to new information & changing circumstances and remain open to new ways of doing things and experiment with new methods
• Hold a tertiary Accounting qualification
