Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career within finance? If so, then this role could be for you. We have an opportunity for a finance graduate to join our team based in our HQ in Bracknell.
Our Finance team play an important role at Avis Budget Group. We have structured ourselves to align to the way our business operates and have built strong relationships with our key stakeholders.
This role will give you the opportunity to study ACCA over the next 3 years whilst gaining relevant accounting experience. It will allow you to rotate across 2 roles within the Finance area during that time, providing you with an excellent platform to start a career in finance.

Key responsibilities across the role will include:

• Completing financial month end tasks including entering journals for accruals and prepayments.
• Assisting in review the profit and loss during the month end close to provide commentary on variances against forecast and plan.
• Completing month end related monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations, working to specifications set out in Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls.
• Providing support for audit, tax and compliance activities.
• Supporting business initiatives and helping the functional team understand the end to end revenue & cost performance across the business.
• Assisting the group team during the month-end close, consolidation, and helping to manage the reporting for all country teams within the EMEA region, including tracking responses and following up on issues.
• Assisting team with multi-entity, multi-currency balance sheet review process including helping to prepare presentations to senior leadership.
• Taking on expanded tasks during a time of increased workload for the whole team and ad hoc financial accounting tasks.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of 2:1 degree from any discipline
• Desire and willingness to study for ACCA finance qualification
• Strong Excel skills

You will also be commercially aware, enjoy problem solving, be able to plan and prioritise effectively, and have the ability to generate insights to drive business decisions.
