How you will make a difference

Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected software projects

Discuss with functional leads and Product Manager to formulate suitable project execution strategies and objectives

Baseline, monitor and control project scope, deadlines, project labour and expenses throughout the project.

Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI

Apply change, risk and resource management

Communicate and manage critical milestones and timelines to the cross functional teams in engineering, customer care and manufacturing

Ensure the project team follows the phase-gate process at the project level and agile process at the activity level

Participate in backlog grooming meetings (and other ceremonies) to ensure each agile team is making delivery on-time

Produce status reports to the company executive team, to team members and stakeholders

Contribute to PMO structure and process improvements

We are seeking a Software Program Manager that has a strong background in embedded software development, design delivery, and introducing new software solutions to hardware products/devices.

If you are passionate about organizing multiple project teams to develop quality products by following leading edge robotic software and working with advanced technology such as Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Path Planning in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment, this role may be for you. The ideal candidate is organized, minimizes risk through effective communication, and has a proven ability to motivate multiple software areas to deliver based on product roadmaps.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum of 3 years in project management roles, mainly in software product development projects

Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position

Experienced with delivering software to the hardware team

BSc. in Software/Computer Engineering/Technology or equivalent

Experienced with managing projects in all stages of the product life cycle

Minimum of 10 years experience in software product development

Successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that may include: criminal/civil background checks and motor vehicle records search

Preferred qualifications and key skills

Skilled in MS Project & ERP software

Skilled in Agile (Sprint/Kanban) methodology using Jira and Confluence

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills: works well with diverse groups of people
