How you will make a difference
Adhere to daily production targets verifying the robot build configuration and performance
Configure and calibrate different components and subsystems of the robot using Linux and Windows based applications
Perform some mechanical assembly and optimize settings as required
Troubleshoot and repair problems as needed
Document issues in accordance with the Quality processes and requirements
Maintain an organized and safe work area
We are looking for a Production Test Technician to perform configuration and testing of our robots.
In this role, the professional will work on a small production team to help get our robots from our manufacturing facility to our customers. Our ideal candidate is highly technical, inquisitive, has high attention to detail, as well as eager to both learn and transfer knowledge with other team members.
This is an individual contributor role working onsite regularly in our global headquarters in Kitchener, ON and reports directly to the Production Manager.
Preferred qualifications and key skills
Experience with manual or automatic floor cleaning machines
Experience with robotics
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational skills and an ability to perform in a fast-moving environment
A Quality first approach with an eye for detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Minimum qualifications
Diploma in electronics, electro-mechanical, mechanical, or similar
Test and troubleshooting experience/knowledge
Successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that may include: criminal/civil background checks and motor vehicle records search
