Position Overview

ing to the Director of Maintenance, the Shop Foreman will work closely with Operations and Dispatch to ensure that equipment is maintained and meets operational requirements in a timely fashion. The Shop Foreman will be responsible for supervising personnel involved in maintaining and repairing the equipment.

Compensation

Starting wage will be dependent on experience. Regular work is Monday to Friday with option to hourly or salary w/bonus model.

Responsibilities

• Schedule mechanics for maintenance, servicing and repair of equipment
• Scheduled workload to maximize efficiency
• Monitor shop team work schedules, attendance and overtime
• Engage, participate, and provide coaching in Avenge safety policies and procedures
• Provide technical support for mechanics
• Review service s, and update progress in computer programs
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and organization plans, using company software
• Meet daily with management to defects and update action item log
• Other related duties as assigned

Skills/Experience

• Must be an Interprovincial Red Seal or Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic with at 5-years experience as a shop foreman
• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide a valid driver’s abstract
• Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
• Must be Computer literate and have excellent communication skills
• Must be focused on driving high delivery standards and attention to detail
• Possession of a valid CVIP license is an asset and qualify to obtain
• Experience in off and on road equipment repair is an asset, with work experience on industry equipment such as hydro vac

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $47.00-$50.00 per hour

• Mechanical: 5 years (preferred)

• CVIP Inspection: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Journeyman Certification (preferred)
