Home – AVB Marketing

Position Summary/Objective:

The Magento Engineer will work closely with frontend and backend engineering team to create innovative solutions in support of AVB Marketing clients’ online presence.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ability to work within a team structure, as well as independently to ensure deliverables are
  
  achieved on time while maintaining the highest quality.
• Develop features for high traffic, large scale websites
• Work closely with the frontend team to implement REST API’s
• Refactor older code to work with newer versions of OpenMage

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Experience with enterprise and large scale techniques
• Knowledge of GIT source control
• Test Driven Development
• Understanding of Single Page Application model
• PHP and Magento

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of Magento experience
• MySQL experience required
• Strong PHP experience
• Javascript experience a plus
• Nginx experience a plus
• Experience with RESTful Web Services

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Remote Work/Travel: This position will work remotely from a home address and subject to AVB’s Remote Work policies and procedures which are then in effect. In addition, from time to time, this position will be required to engage in travel, including travel to attend AVB’s Annual All-Employee Meeting as well as other travel obligations which may be required of the position such as meetings with members, attendance at conventions and shows and other events where you will represent AVB.
