Job description
Our busy construction company is seeking an organized construction bookkeeper to support our comptroller with accounting and administrative tasks. The candidate should have great computer, communication, and time management skills. Previous experience in the industry is preferred.
Accounting assistant work duties will include:
– Managing the contracts and other administrative aspects of construction projects (e.g. print, send, upload, and secure documents in a timely manner)
– Creating and updating billing and financial reports with QuickBooks data entry (entering multiple invoices, new customers, employees and subs)
– Credit cards reconciliations per comptroller’s request;
– Preparing and provide financial documentation to internal teams (superintendents, PM’s, APM’s, comptroller etc.) and key stakeholders;
– Observing projects financial progress and address potential issues to the management;
– Collecting necessary legal and other documentation for subcontractors;
– Organizing and categorizing electronic and physical bookkeeping filing system;
– Depositing customer’s payments to the bank and mailing checks;
– Ensuring financial deadlines, submissions and project compliances are met;
– Typing necessary documents, editing and correcting reports, resources and other Microsoft office assignments;
– Checking prices and comparing PO’s/estimates of suppliers’s and vendor’s invoices;
– Manage documentation for properties closings, financing and mortgage administration.
