Responsibilities:
Partnering closely with HR & Business leaders within our GTM function, this role will deliver on our employment branding initiatives and attract candidates who align with our success traits and who are excited about being part of Avalara’s story and mission. We are looking to impart a talent mindset across the organization, as people are key to organizational success. As a member of the TA leadership team, you will work closely with our HR business partners and business leaders to promote internal career mobility and enrich our culture with people who model our success traits and ensure that we are diversifying our workforce as we build for the future.
Job Duties:
- Maintain recruiting success KPIs across the recruitment team and develop strategies to uplevel team development.
- Ensure alignment between business and talent strategy, with skills and culture traits that align to our company goals.
- Possess a strong collaborative leadership style with the ability to drive change and build partnerships across multiple business units, locations, and organizational levels.
- Demonstrate a strong business acumen, coupled with executive presence. Ability to inspire confidence and gain and hold the trust of hiring leaders and management.
- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills. Ability to work with a variety of leaders and experts to build consensus around recruitment strategy and tactics. You have strong consulting, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing senior level hiring plans within the technology industry by establishing, cultivating, and maintaining solid working relationships with hiring leaders.
- Provide data analytics to measure and on recruiting trends and activities. Utilize metrics to make improvements, changes and to educate hiring managers.
- Work with leaders to continually improve assessment capabilities and tools and ensure that hiring decisions are made utilizing our core success traits.
- Create and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances internally and externally to ensure diverse hiring pools.
- Ensure end to end initiatives that reduce and eliminate bias in the hiring process.
- Drive processes and operational efficiencies throughout the recruiting process
- Partner with HR operations, IT and other internal departments to ensure a smooth hiring experience for both the candidate and the organization.
- Enhance marketing and employment branding strategies, including extensive use of social media, to attract high-quality candidates.
- Lead a highly dedicated team of recruiters to empower the team to act as talent advisors to the business units they support and ingrain a recruiting mindset across the company.

- 2-3 years recruitment team leadership experience ideally leading teams within the GTM space
- Experience in high tech and/or startup environment preferred.
- Solid influential skills implementing and championing effective data driven recruitment decisions and KPIs across business units and our recruitment team.
- Strong business acumen to partner effectively with hiring leaders across the business.
- Ability to acclimate quickly, able to be a contributing member to the TA Leadership team, and a strategic partner to business leadership.
- Demonstrated track record with a high growth company.

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The
successful candidate’s actual salary/wage may be based on various factors, such as geographic
location, candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, depending on
the terms of the applicable plan and the employee’s role.
