Avalanche Technology, Inc. (www.avalanche-technology.com) is a fast-growing dynamic fabless semi-conductor technology company, providing solutions to major world-wide enterprises. We are seeking an energetic self-starting individual who is an experienced corporate financial executive.

The VP of finance will be responsible for processing the financial activities of an organization to maximize a company’s profits and plan for its growth. The role includes analyzing data and advising the management team on ways to use that information to make strategic decisions about the organization’s future. With a hands-on approach to all aspects of an organization’s finances, the VP of finance must ensure the Company complies with tax laws and regulations specific to our semi-conductor industry. VP of finance will report directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the company’s financial planning, forecasting and budgeting processes as we grow the business internationally.
• Collaborate with the CEO, the executive team and the Board in crafting Avalanche’s strategic strategies and capital structure
• Manage risk through oversight of the organization’s liabilities and investments
• Manage month end processes
• Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
• Oversee key controls and ensure compliance with the law and company policies
• Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting to the executive leadership and the Board
• Lead a small financial team according to the company values and priorities.
• Maintain, enhance and oversee the Company’s financial IT systems.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and work with various management members to ensure legal agreements are being followed or properly created with key vendors and customers.
• Lead process improvement and policy development initiatives

Requirements:

• The VP Finance must be located in SF Bay Area and, subject to government pandemic mandates, be willing to be in the Fremont headquarters office up to 5 days per week
• Experience driving success as a financial leader in a complex industry
• Experience driving the product journey from startup to scale
• Experience with financial analysis, drawing data-driven insights to deliver effective solutions
• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, cost accounting, forecasting; strong business and commercial acumen
• Experience ensuring the successful execution of high-stakes company objectives, as well as day-to-day financial processes
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities
• In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
• CPA and/or MBA
• Semi-conductor, electronic hardware or manufacturing industry experience.
