Avalanche Technology, Inc. (www.avalanche-technology.com) is a fast-growing dynamic fabless semi-conductor technology company, providing solutions to major world-wide enterprises. We are seeking an energetic self-starting individual who is an experienced Accountant that is looking to advance their career.

The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for processing and overseeing the day-to-day financial activities of the organization. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

The position responsibilities will specifically include, but not be limited to:

• Handling journals and reconciliations for general Accounts Payable, vendor accruals, employee reimbursements and contractor payments
• Overseeing, owning the spreadsheets, maintaining documentation, and performing entries for inventory, prepaid assets/current assets, and fixed assets (including depreciation)
• Reconciling, performing journal entries, or applying transactions for corporate credit cards.
• Performing allocation entries for payroll, occupancy, labor and operations overhead, and fringe benefits
• Creating invoices for research Accounts Receivable and monitoring aging and reconciliations of all Accounts Receivable
• Performing special projects as assigned: External Audit, materials and labor costing of projects, 1099s, Sales Tax monitoring in Avalara, and other projects as assigned
• Assisting with Financial Statement analysis
• Performing other General Ledger responsibilities as assigned

Skills:

• An extensive, and complete knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience using QuickBooks
• Analytical skills – must perform analysis, interpretation, and application to meet goals
• Good planning and organizational skills are essential
• A team player, willing to learn and contribute
• Aggressive, results-oriented skills with a desire to meet plans, timing and cost targets willing to work through time-consuming problems to achieve the desired goals
• Ability to create, adapt, and document policies and processes

• Ability to implement new software and technologies as needed
• Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic environment
• Start-up company experience (preferred)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
Experience: Prior minimum of 2-7 years of relevant finance experience in a corporate setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
