What you’ll do

• Partner with stakeholders and leaders across the business supporting the growth of their teams, in line with our strategic business and people objectives. You’ll really know each role in the business, and how roles work together to create the greatness that we offer, as well as the people in them – such that you’re able to find the very best people.
• Build and maintain a strong network of potential candidates through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management; you’ll conduct in-depth interviews of potential candidates, demonstrating an ability to anticipate hiring manager needs through high offer-to-interview ratios.
• Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of Avado, implementing any new processes and/or fine-tuning standard processes, whilst supporting the delivery of our Purpose and Strategy.
• Articulate in writing a sourcing plan with deliverable timelines and a formal tracking process for each and every role on your list.
• Interview candidates within an agreed framework, directly related to our cultural guidance and job specifications.
• Deliver strong screening processes, facilitate extraordinary interview processes, and prepare long and short lists of highly talented people.
• Upskill the capabilities of hiring managers by demonstrating exceptional practice, designing and delivering workshops, etc.
• Innovate new ways for attracting the very best in people for the roles we need to fill, engaging and leading the recruitment experience to achieve high-quality end to end (360-degree) processes and experiences, developing and enhancing our approach to social media channels, and ensuring optimisation of our leader-friendly ATS;
• Constantly refine and evolve the way our EVP is positioned and articulated across all the assets in the recruiting function.
• Assess best practices in interviewing / assessment techniques, leveraging internal sources of talent (e.g. referrals / competitor and market analyses with current employees, etc.) and identifying top performers for even the most hard to fill roles.

What we’re looking for

• In-house recruitment experience in a fast-paced, demanding but friendly organisation;
• You’re warm, accommodating, trustworthy and build rapport easily;
• You know how to really listen, and asking powerful questions that unlock people’s potential;
• You are super organised with a real eye for detail, but you’re not held back by perfectionism (at least, you can keep your perfectionism in check such that you know when to accept ‘very good’ instead of ‘perfect’);
• You can transparently tell people what they’re in for if they joined your company – the good, the bad, the annoying and the opportunity;
• You know how to think outside the box with talent – you review CVs from the bottom up (e.g. hobbies / personal traits) and then experience to really get a sense of who someone is, as well as what they can do);
• A focus on direct sourcing with experience using recruitment systems (ATS, LinkedIn recruiter etc);
• Extremely good questioning, deep listening and ‘curiosity’ skills;
• Proven ability to build diverse high-quality talent pipelines;
• Evidence of a growth mindset and a solutions-focus;
• Seriously effortless Team-orientation;
• True Business Partnering mindset.
