AVA Companies Hiring for Dispatcher at Hicksville, NY Full Time

AVA Pork Products, a leading manufacturer & distributor of quality beef and pork products is currently seeking an experienced Dispatcher. Our offices, manufacturing & distribution center is in Hicksville, New York.

Job Responsibilities:

• Setting up and administering daily dispatch operations.
• Tracking Logs and organizing documents by priority.
• Tracking drivers to facilitate the timely delivery of containers to their destination.
• Providing customers with information on services, rates, equipment availability, and shipment status.
• Confirming proper bookings and billings to meet customer requirements.
• Utilizing a web-based platform, to update pick-ups/deliveries and enter customer order information.
• Answering driver and customer calls; send and responding to emails related to shipments.
• Record & monitor schedules for inbound and outbound deliveries.
• Daily communication with outside carriers, including but not limited to scheduling appointments.
• Maintain s and databases.
• Data entry/validation of documents.
• Other administrative duties as assigned by Manager.

Job Requirements:

• One (1+) years of Warehouse/Distribution experience.
• Shift hours – 03:00 PM – 03:00 AM / 6 days.
• Data entry experience is must.
• Schedule flexibility is a must.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations Attention to detail and organized.
• Exceptional verbal & written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task, take initiative and achieve results.
• Computer skills with experience using Excel, Word & Outlook.
• This is a policy & procedure-driven department.
