About the role
At Auxly People and Culture, our vibrant team stives to manage employee life-cycle activities proactively and effectively, smoothly, and seamlessly through continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with standard policies and legislative requirements to support day-to-day operational needs.
Are you a dynamic People and Culture professional with a quest for continuous learning? Are you able to work independently and as a strong team player in a very fast-paced, growing, and collaborative environment? We are looking for an operations-centric candidate with a desire to succeed in a role that will support the People and Culture team and employees in driving a variety of People and Culture related tasks at our Carleton Place Facility (Kolab) including: Onboarding, offboarding, orientation, 1st level employee relations. This role reports to the Manager, People and Culture, located in Toronto.
· Support the People and Culture Team with employee life-cycle activities such as, Recruitment, Employment Offers, On-Boarding, Off-Boarding, Exit Interviews, Employee Relations, Learning Management System, and Health and Safety.
· Communicate with People and Culture team and escalate issues to Manager, P&C.
· Maintain a positive attitude, provide recommendations for continuous improvements, develop, and improve knowledge base of People and Culture function and keep abreast of emerging trends.
· Promote and maintain positive employee relations, employee confidence especially with confidential information.
· Maintain a customer-centric and solutions approach with internal and external stakeholders.
· Promote a safe workplace as required under the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
· Support Talent Acquisition by providing relevant data, statistics, trends, and patterns to make the recruiting process more efficient in addition to conducting interviews.
What we’re looking for
· Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study (i.e., HR, Commerce), completion of (or working towards) Certificate in Human Resource Management (CHRP), or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
· 1-2 years of relevant manufacturing experience in the People and Culture function, required.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, a good listener, proactive thinker, and business acumen.
· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Advanced Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
