Overview: The Manager, Lean Manufacturing will be dedicated to examining the efficiencies, throughput, and continuous improvement of the expanding operations at Auxly Charlottetown. Working with the Senior Management Team, they develop, set the pace and implement business transformational and continuous improvement strategy. This role is key to outline the direction and deployment of the Lean framework to ensure consistent application across the business. They are responsible for the successful management and implementation of business improvement projects/initiatives and building working relationships ensuring that Health & Safety requirements are adhered to.
What can you expect to do:

• Conduct a full end to end analysis of all site processes and activities, ensuring each step

is optimized, with minimal contact points and productive. Create a schedule for ongoing periodic
reviews of all activities.

• Work on a continual basis with the site controller to identify cost reduction opportunities

linked to COGS

• Manage total facility CI initiatives and progress to completion.
• Responsible to quickly adapt to budgetary constraints through adjusting timing of improvement

plans, creating additional improvements and overall supporting meeting the facility financial plan.

• Develops an Operational Excellence annual plan with a focus on Lean Tools that drive labour

efficiencies, OEE improvements and production floor space gains.

• Able to both teach and implement lean tools.
• Maintain a culture of functional and Operational Excellence, supports 5S, lean initiatives

and to be a committed role model for our Company’s values.

• Adherence to internal and external Processes and Regulations synonymous with operating within

the cannabis industry.

• Facilitate periodic Lean Manufacturing meetings with the General Manager, Managers,

Supervisors and Team Leaders

• Lead and coach the Managers and Supervisors through Change and Continuous Improvement

What we are looking for :

• 5+ years managerial experience in a manufacturing environment
• Relevant degree in Manufacturing/Engineering or related field
• Exceptional problem-solver, able to work on highly complex problems requiring analytical, conceptual and quantitative ability
• Proven experience in project management dealing with implementing improvement methodologies
• Applied knowledge and practice of Six Sigma and LEAN methodology
