AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER YOU’LL

• Research, design, develop, secure and solutions that facilitate communications with 1 million plus Automox software agents deployed globally.
• Lead by example championing secure coding and modern software development best practices across engineering.
• Extend, enhance, and evolve event driven services to provide new and exciting features in the Automox platform and in our endpoint software.
• Contribute to continual improvement by testing, performance tuning, refactoring, usability improvements, and automation.
• Produce detailed specifications, and contribute in all phases of the engineering lifecycle.
• Operate with a quality-first mindset. Your approach to testing sets you apart from your peers.
• Make data-driven decisions. You understand the impact of your development before it reaches production.

ABOUT YOU

• Programming experience in Golang or Java is preferred although we’ll consider polyglots. The right candidate will show versatility writing and developing software in a variety of languages over their career.
• 8+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications deployed in a high availability SaaS environment.
• Secure Coding experience such as experience with OWASP, Vulnerability Assessments, Threat Modeling, Secure Code Review, Penetration Testing, Data Protection, Encryption, Authentication & Authorization, Secure API Development, Input Validation & Sanitation, SSL / TSL, Security Frameworks & Libraries, Access Control, Secure Design Patterns, Security Certifications (e.

g. CISSP, CEH, etc.), XSS (Cross-Site Scripting), CSRF (Cross-Site Request Forgery), SQL Injection, Security By Design, Secure Session Management, Least Privilege, Static Analysis, Dynamic Analysis, Secure Deployment, Security Incident Response, Secure Logging & Monitoring, Secure Software Development Lifecycle, Secure Software Architecture, Secure Coding Standards, Secure Tools & Technologies, Memory Management, Secure Mobile Development, Secure Network Programming, Zero Trust, or similar experience related to secure coding is a huge preference.

• Experience building production applications in cloud environments (AWS or GCP) with a strong emphasis on security best practices.
• Experience working as a Software Engineer on applications with continuous client connectivity is desired.
• Enjoy scaling microservice architectures and large-scale event ingestion platforms. Have familiarity scaling websockets, real-time messaging systems (Kafka, MQTT), and non-relational database systems like DynamoDB, networking, DevOps.
• Excellent communicator, thrives within a tightly knit, cross-functional remote team environment.
• Strong leadership skills coaching and mentoring more junior engineers.
• Impactful collaborator working with other engineers, Product Managers, Program Managers and Technical Support.
