Auto Europe has been a leader in worldwide car rental services for over half a century. Our corporate offices are based in Portland, Maine and we have additional call centers in Munich, Sydney, and Lisbon, where we collectively provide support to customers worldwide.

JOB SUMMARY

Our Finance and Accounting team supports financial processing and reporting for stakeholders inside and outside of the company. The team is also integral to driving the strategy of the organization as we continue our growth in international markets. We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable specialist who has a good attitude, is organized, energetic and can handle multiple job duties focused around our fast-paced multicurrency accounts payable cycle.

This role will report to the Controller at our corporate headquarters in Portland, ME.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· General payables and/or commissions payables invoice processing, to include review, code, and obtain service/payment approval from management in accordance with company policies and procedures

· Vendor master file maintenance

· Responding to questions from vendors and travel agencies related to payments, discrepancies, and master file maintenance

· Cash and/or credit card employee expense reporting processing

· Multi-currency payment processing for multiple business entities

· Electronic filing of vendor invoices, supporting documentation, and approvals in accordance with department policy and practice

· Annual 1099 filing for multiple business entities

· Preparing routine and non-routine reports for members of the accounting group or management

· Other clerical tasks, which may include updating or validating exchange rates in the accounting system, or reconciling transactions from the sales system to accounting system

Required QualificationS

· 5 or more years of experience in accounts payable

· Computer skills, including an intermediate skill level with Excel and advanced competency with financial and accounting software such as SAP or QuickBooks

· Experience within a multi-currency accounting environment is preferred

· Associates degree in accounting or greater preferred

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
