design and development of a range of Autodesk products including BIM 360

Model Coordination, Navisworks, BIM 360 Desktop Connector and Glue.

We are located in central Sheffield near the Cathedral, a 15 minutes walk from

Sheffield station.

The Role

If successful you will join the multidisciplinary Sheffield team which includes

designers, developers and QA engineers creating the front end user interface to

BIM 360 Model Coordination, a cloud-based management solution for

detecting and categorising problems within 3D architectural models. More

Model Coordination is a complex client-side application made possible through

using the latest in web technology (React, Redux and webGL). We have a rapidly growing number of users so assuring that quality is maintained in each release is vital to retain customer satisfaction.

We assure quality through a combination of automated End to End tests, Unit

tests, a Continuous Integration pipeline, and focused testing against

requirements gathering. As a member of the team you will be assisting in

assuring the quality of BIM 360 Model Coordination.

You will be…

• Involved in and contribute to the full development lifecycle, from design to customer release
• Creating resilient and trustworthy automated test functionality, alongside maintaining existing tests using the Nightwatch Javascript framework
• Designing test cases and executing test procedures, documented within Jira
• A core member of the team and partake in our agile development methodology (Kanban)
• Gaining insight into modern front end development within a global organisation
• Contributing to our Jenkins continuous integration platform, which automatically assesses application code checks and runs tests on deployment

We are looking for…

• A full-time undergrad student in an accredited software development related course at the time of internship participation and have solid academic standing
• An open minded individual motivated through learning new concepts and ideas
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and an independent work ethic
• An understanding of software testing and quality assurance would be beneficial
