Auto Trader Hiring for Data Entry Specialist Full Time

About the role

Due to the growth and evolving nature of the business, our Customer Operations team are looking for a Data Entry Specialist to join them.

In this role, working alongside a dedicated and talented team of Vehicle Data Specialists/Data Entry Specialists, you’ll be responsible for the data that powers all aspects of our website and apps, from search filters to our valuations tool.

As a Data Entry Specialist, you will ensure that this data is accurate by checking, editing, and standardising it. You’ll be looking at an abundance of data across multiple areas from vehicle technical specifications, prices and a wide range of data that provide our consumers with transparency and trust.

You’ll use data from a variety of industry bodies and suppliers to ensure we provide the best vehicle information. This data enables our retailers to promote their vehicles and gives the public accurate information to help them with their purchasing decisions.

You will process daily and monthly bulk uploads from our partners, monitor the quality and coverage of our data, and will respond to any data related queries. It’s a highly varied role in which you’ll work on a rotational basis to cover many different elements and project work.

You will communicate with teams across Auto Trader, proactively investigating and highlighting issues so that we can improve our products, providing a high-quality, easy way for consumers and customers to interact with our website/app.

What we’re looking for?

• You will have commercial work or academic experience in data, combined with great Excel skills (you will be confident using filters, pivots and v-lookups).
• You will have a logical and analytical approach that allows you to spot anomaly’s, breakdown issues and diagnose the root cause.
• You will be self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• You will be a great relationship builder and will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
• As you will be working with live systems and data it is crucial that you have excellent attention to detail.
• Although not essential, we would be delighted if you have knowledge of the automotive industry and experience using SQL.

Finally, to be a great Data Entry Specialist; you will need to understand our products, vehicle data and digital technologies. We therefore are seeking someone that is curious, loves asking questions and most importantly never wants to stop learning!
