ROLE PURPOSE & TASKS

The Finance Analyst’s role is:

• To work as part of the Management Accounting team to achieve the completion of an accurate and timely month-end close to assist key stakeholders with decision making.
• To analyse monthly results and partner with various stakeholders across the business to identify favourable and unfavourable variances against forecast and advise stakeholders on areas for improvement.
• Responsible for the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, including investigation of material reconciling items

Experience and background

• Tertiary qualified in finance / accounting with a minimum of four years of practical experience within a large or mid-tier accounting firm or a similar role in industry.
• Part CA or CPA preferred but not essential
• Experience in use of accounting applications and ability to adapt to new systems
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills.

INDICATIVE DAYS, PLACE & HOURS OF WORK

Full-time Monday to Friday with flexible hours within core business hours of 8am – 6pm with occasional time outside these hours to accommodate for reporting deadlines. Location of work will be in the Melbourne office for 7 out of 10 days and working from home as required.
