The ASD motto, Reveal their secrets – Protect our own, summarises our roles: we collect foreign intelligence; we provide advice and assistance on information and cyber security; and we conduct offensive cyber operations.
To achieve its mission, ASD requires people with strong integrity and a mix of specialist skills, adaptability, imagination, resilience and creativity.
These abilities are needed to out-think and out-imagine some of the most testing adversaries and problems imaginable. ASD operates in the slim area between the difficult and the impossible. If you want to work with other smart, skilled people, ASD has an opportunity for you.
What can ASD offer you? Challenging, interesting and unique work that directly supports the Australian Defence Force and Australian Government decision-making; ongoing commitment to staff training including technical, business and interpersonal skills; close-knit and supportive work teams; and the possibility of national and international travel opportunities.
ASD value their employees and provide them flexible working arrangements, diverse career paths, a supportive work environment, study assistance opportunities, social and networking opportunities, support of casual dress, pay increases linked to regular performance reviews and relocation assistance for successful applicants.
About the Role
ASD is looking for people to undertake a broad range of work in our corporate, project delivery and business areas in support of ASD’s mission. As a corporate or project delivery professional at ASD, you will play a critical role in supporting the internal infrastructure of one of the largest organisations within the National Intelligence Community.
ASD encourages and provides opportunities for employees to continue developing their skills to keep pace with evolving priorities. You will receive comprehensive, specialised training to develop the capabilities that allow you to work independently or in multi-disciplinary teams.
You will have the opportunity to deliver strategic and operational support across the organisation in areas such as:
ASD continues to grow and is continually looking for talented people to join our mission. This will be a rolling recruitment process, which means it will be conducted regularly. If you are successful in the application and assessment process you will be placed in a merit pool and may be contacted for further testing as positions become available. These may be ongoing or non-ongoing opportunities.
Throughout the year, ASD may contact you to reconfirm your interest in roles and update you with any relevant information. We request that you also let us know if your circumstances change and you no longer wish to remain in the merit pool.
