The Role
ASD Finance are looking for candidates with experience in a financial environment, including skills in internal or external budget management, management or financial reporting, financial analysis and asset accounting.

Responsibilities of the role could include;

• financial support and analysis;
• asset accounting and support;
• budget preparation and financial performance monitoring and reporting.
• You will be able to identify financial issues and apply financial management knowledge to objective and systematic analysis and conclusions.
• You will build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in team work and group activities and work collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts to resolve financial management issues.

About our Team
The Finance and Business Management (FBM) Team undertake Government Accounting and Management Accounting functions including:

• coordinating and managing the external Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) budget and reporting process;
• preparation of monthly and annual financial statements;
• preparation and management of internal budgets;
• preparation and delivery of monthly financial management reports;
• delivery of asset accounting functions, including stocktake management
• delivery of financial advice and support to ASD business areas;
• update and maintain AAIs, Delegations, Compliance reporting;
• ensure ASD has a reliable and well controlled financial framework with appropriate systems to support, communicate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders including the ANAO, internal auditors and manage ASDs Treasury processes.
