About the role

You will provide support in the monitoring and effective management of the organisation’s cash, investments, banking arrangements and foreign currency exposure. You will understand financial and operational risks and adhere to all controls, processes and policies in place within the Treasury Function.

Key responsibilities

• Cash Management
• Assist with day to day cash management to ensure cash requirements are met, including daily reporting and assisting with forecasting
• Foreign Currency Management
• Identify exposures and manage currency risks
• Banking
• Manage the Australian Red Cross bank accounts and process bank transactions as required
• Carry out electronic banking updates, including user setup, role management, authorisation and approval matrices
• Undertake regular reporting of electronic banking permissions (users, roles, authorisation mandates, etc)
• Manage, track and report on account signatory arrangements
• Treasury Controls
• Undertake activities in accordance with established control framework
• Adhoc treasury duties as required

What you will bring

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role with exposure to Treasury Operations and Foreign Currency Management in a medium to large organisation
• Previous experience with cash management across a significant number of bank accounts
• Previous experience utilising ERP systems
• Working understanding of Electronic Banking set up and administration
• Solid understanding of Treasury accounting standards
• A tertiary qualification in a Finance or Accounting discipline or a Treasury qualification
• A proactive attitude with strong attention to detail willing to work as part of a larger team
