Services Australia is home to one of the largest in-house Information and Communication Technology (ICT) operations in the Southern Hemisphere, Technology Services. Technology Services Group (TSG) provides the underpinning technology and expertise to support the Agency’s vision in the provision of government services to Australians.

The Enterprise Infrastructure Platform Branch (EIPB) is responsible for the design, implementation and operational management of ICT infrastructure, systems and platforms for the agency and partner agencies.

Services Australia SAP Basis / SAP HANA Specialist not only revolutionise, they routinely work on large Enterprise compute scalability and storage solution, Networking capabilities, large-scale critical public facing applications and completely new platforms for our Australian citizens around the world.

The SAP Basis/ SAP HANA Specialist leads the day-to-day operations of the organisations ICT landscape. As a SAP Basis/ SAP HANA Specialist you are a balance of a rational operator and lean software designer that is results driven and leads by example with rigorous engineering principles and operational disciplines to deliver mature automated capabilities to the SAP environment. As an SAP Basis/ SAP HANA Specialist you focus on the proactive and not the reactive, you build services to be consumed on demand’ not on request through process driven investigation that delivers automated outcomes.

We are looking for people who are:

• Logical thinkers who enjoy understanding how the ‘nuts and bolts’ come together • Excited to work and understand some of the Australia’s largest SAP deployments and systems that support key government programmes and social and health payments through Medicare, Centrelink and myGov

• Passionate about supporting critical social security and health services to the Australian public.

We are looking for people who want to:

• Work on a variety of platforms including CRM, PSCD, PI/PO, ERP , Portal , Solution Manager, IDM, NW Gateway
• Create, fix, extend and scale infrastructure as code to maintain system stability and compliance; and
• Develop code level troubleshooting skills for system or user anomalies.

Essential requirements:

Security Clearance level required: Negative Vetting Level 1 (or ability to obtain and maintain).

Desirable Qualifications:

• Diploma, CIT/Tafe certification
• Education: tertiary level education or equivalent
• Professional development or Certifications – supporting key skills and Key knowledge.

Work Environment
