Role Summary
AFP appointees contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.
Role Description & Responsibilities
The position sits within the ACT Policing Human Resources portfolio and provides assistance in a range of HR related services to support ACT Policing outcomes.
The responsibilities may include:
providing proactive rostering/employee management services and advice, ensuring compliance with the AFP Enterprise Agreement 2017-2020; for example staff shortages and options to address (problem solving);
providing accurate and timely advice in relation to the AFP employment framework to stakeholders;
developing and managing relationships with relevant stakeholders;
administrative management of training for ACT Policing members;
updating and maintaining HRMS and rostering systems; and
assisting with other HR projects and administrative tasks as required.
A merit pool will be created from this process for anticipated on-going and non-ongoing vacancies.
Essential Requirements
Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) – A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one
Additional Requirements
Demonstrated experience working in a highly transactional role
Demonstrated experience in Human Resources
Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly desirable
Experience in a rostering role is highly desirable
