Role Summary
As an Executive Level AFP appointee you will ensure the achievement of outcomes are in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments.
Appointees at the Executive Level work under the strategic direction of the senior executive and are responsible for the leadership and management of a number of teams to deliver outcomes.
Appointees at this level require in depth knowledge and understanding of the AFP business and the impact of roles and functions undertaken in relation to the organisation’s reputation to effectively manage operations.
An Executive Level role is responsible for leading and managing a team/s dedicated to delivering a business function to the AFP. The role has both a practical and strategic focus requiring the application of sound business principles in the management of resources to meet AFP outputs in the most effective and efficient manner.
Role Description & Responsibilities
As the Coordinator Talent Acquisition and Services, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of dedicated professionals that manage the end-to-end recruitment needs for the AFP, and deliver tailored recruitment strategies to source, attract and retain, the right talent at the right time.
You will partner with senior leaders from across the organisation on their current and future recruitment needs, providing insights, reports, and guidance, to support key hiring and talent solutions.
You will move between the strategic and operational to deliver the best recruitment outcomes and candidate experiences. You will also apply your strong planning and change management capabilities to a high-volume recruitment environment.
Reporting to the Manager People Strategies, and as part of the broader HR leadership team, you will be autonomous, creative, and flexible in your approach, with a proven ability to adapt to a changing environment. You will:
Drive the end-to-end talent activity for various business areas and regional commands
Strategically position AFP to attract, source and select high calibre talent to support both immediate and long-term needs
Strategically partner with leaders from across AFP to provide sound sourcing and selection advice
Ensure business leaders have the necessary tools and support at key stages of the recruitment process
Lead talent acquisition/HR projects that generate continuous improvements
Maintain strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders both within and outside the AFP
Use exceptional leadership skills to guide and develop the recruitment team.

Essential Requirements
A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one
Contemporary knowledge and experience in leading recruitment and talent management at the enterprise level
Excellent understanding of contemporary campaign recruitment and approaches
High attention to detail with an ability to manage ambiguity, while operating within a structured environment
Experience managing multiple stakeholder expectations in a complex and high tempo environment
Demonstrated experience in leading and building a diverse team of recruitment professionals
Desirable Requirements
