The Bureau of Meteorology is seeking a professional with industry experience and/or relevant qualifications in vocational training and assessment, to support learning and development deliverables under the PST Program. The occupant of the position will work as part of a small project team to develop and deliver learning programs to a range of operational and non-operational staff, including meteorologists, climatologists and hydrologists.

The occupant will work closely with the Bureau of Meteorology Training Centre (BMTC), subject matter experts, and key business stakeholders to document learning priorities and outcomes, design and plan learning packages, and develop appropriate competency-based assessment tools. The occupant will also work alongside instructional designers to benchmark learning pathways, undertake learning needs analyses, and assist in the development and delivery of learning resources. The occupant will be expected to have a broad knowledge and/or experience delivering training in operational environments. An understanding of meteorology and Bureau operations (including current operating systems and software) is an advantage.
