About the Data and Digital Group
The Data and Digital Group is responsible for the Bureau’s data and technology, software development, and digital channels, underpinning the delivery of products and services with a focus on user-centred designs that respond to customer needs. The Group’s focus is to uplift technology, processes, decisions, skills and culture by building solutions that deliver increased levels of efficiency, productivity, resilience and availability, and leverage new technology. The Group will also improve visibility of the Bureau’s exposure to cyber security threats and increase our ability to detect and respond to such threats.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a talented and strategic content writer to join the office of the Data and Digital Group. You will lead the development of high-quality content including ministerial correspondence, briefs and parliamentary reporting writing on a range of topics often with a high degree of complexity. You will build relationships with subject matter experts and use your relationship and negotiation skills to draw content, often to very tight timeframes. You will be a strong collaborator and build mutually respectful relationships with colleagues from across the Bureau, including with members of the Communications Program. Importantly, you are a quick learner and good listener and will have the ability to translate complex scientific and technical information into meaningful and plain language prose and in line with the Bureau’s style guide. You will be comfortable working under limited direction.
