The Lead Metrologist will be responsible for management of calibration, acceptance testing and instrument standards and ensuring compliance with quality management standards is maintained.
The Lead Metrologist will have excellent communication and engagement skills suited to collaborating with managers, scientists and technical staff across the Bureau. They will have detailed knowledge of metrology and experience working in a scientific team in a data-rich environment to ensure delivery of products and services to customer expectations. They will participate in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of products and services and the ongoing development, implementation and continual improvement of the quality management system to achieve and maintain the ongoing certification of compliance with the ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 quality management standards. The successful candidate will help grow the world-class standards and metrology quality assurance capability and be focused on customer delivery.
