The DevOps Services section within the Service and Infrastructure Management Program, enables and supports the Bureau across the whole spectrum of the software development life cycle. Our goal is to ensure that teams consistently release quality products into Bureau environments, meeting objectives aligned to the Bureau Strategy. DevOps Services is responsible for defining, supporting, and delivering the Bureau’s software development lifecycle framework, standard processes and practices, and automation tooling to ensure software is developed and deployed with an efficient, modern, high-quality, and secure approach.

We are seeking a highly talented and motivated Applications Support Lead that possesses experience in architecting, developing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting software within both High-Performance Computing (HPC) and non-HPC environments. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills as well as an understanding of workflow schedulers and modern software development best practises. In addition, this individual will require demonstrated experience using and supporting continuous integration platforms (GitLab-CI) for scanning, testing, and releasing software into secure environments, maintaining operational excellence.

You will be joining a highly innovative and talented section that contains both Software and DevOps Engineers, working on a wide range of projects supporting Bureau development and operational teams. This position will work Monday to Friday during business hours and will be required to provide on-call, out of hours operational support to the HPC environment.

The successful candidate will report to the DevOps Services Manager.
